Selfmade Souvenirs from Iceland

This summer I went on an Iceland round trip on my vacation. And why spend money on stupid souvenirs when you can bring home the real Icelandic wool at an absolute bargain price? So I stuffed the bottom of my suitcase with wool on the return journey and went into a knitting frenzy as soon as I got back home. The pattern is designed by Vedís Jónsdóttir and is available for free at ravelry and the Ístex homepage in Icelandic and (lucky for me) also in English.
So as to quote A Song of Ice and Fire: Winter is coming. And I am ready for it. (Even though my former lab partner from Russia insists that Germany in winter isn't really that cold...)
